Rotocel-Space has announced success with its new Cartes Gemini line. The unit is equipped with the Jet D-Screen Dual Bar digital embellishment unit.

Rotocel-Space, an Italian converter specializing in premium labels for wine, spirits, olive oil, beverages and personal care products, has served as a pioneer in digital printing and digital embellishment.

With the installation of Gemini with dual Jet D-Screen inkjet bars, Rotocel-Space takes another step forward in quality, productivity and process efficiency.

The Cartes Gemini configuration installed at Rotocel-Space combines flexo varnishing, digital embellishment with Jet D-Screen Dual and semi-rotary diecutting in a single line. This enables spot varnish, tactile effects, high-build embellishments and foil application to be produced in one pass, helping reduce setup times, material waste and process complexity.

Claudio Zola, production manager at Rotocel-Space, notes that producing all embellishment and converting processes in a single pass allows the team to immediately check the final result and make corrections before continuing production.

Catia Cantelli, CEO of Rotocel-Space, also highlights the value of the collaboration with Cartes, saying, “Rotocel’s project is ambitious: to meet the needs of customers positioned in the medium-high segment. This installation marks the first Gemini line in the world equipped with the dual-bar Jet D-Screen digital embellishment unit, opening new opportunities for premium label production and short-run, just-in-time applications.
